As a student in college I never shied away from public speaking but it wasn't exactly one of my favorite things to do either. It can be very intimidating to open yourself up to the criticism of the world but my fictional novel, Day After Disaster, has given me a message for the world. When I wrote Day After Disaster, I never even intended on publishing it but I did at the urging of my mother. Within it's pages are a story of survival, of family, and of love of husband and wife. Its message urges people to consider the fragility of our society and think about steps you could take to prepare yourself for a day that would present challenges that the American people have not seen for a long time.
It is much easier to learn from a story. It connects with you on an emotional level that most people can easily identify with. At the same time it is important to learn the skills you will need to survive and steps we can take today to become more prepared. It is on this note that I am in the process of creating The Changing Earth Podcast. I will share my story verbally with the world and then I will host a survival professional from our outstanding community of survival information providers.
This format will give you an opportunity to relax and enjoy a thrilling story and then learn something that you can apply to your life so you never end up in the circumstances of the characters in the book. It has been very rewarding to connect with the survival professionals that I have invited to be a part of The Changing Earth Podcast and I have quite a lineup set up for you.
I am expecting to air the first episode of The Changing Earth Podcast the last week of July or the first week of August, depending on technology cooperating. Stay tuned for more details and in the mean time check out the spectacular line up of professionals over at The Changing Earth Podcast's main hub:
