There are a lot of pieces that go into the production of The Changing Earth Podcast, beyond a mic and my voice. One of the best programs I have found is the MP3 Skype Recorder. This program specializes in recording your Skype conversations. It starts up automatically when you call another Skype user or receive a call from another Skype user. Skype is one of the easiest and cleanest ways to contact potential interviewees. The big problem was how do you capture the conversation in the form of an MP3 for later use. Well, the MP3 Skype Recorder takes care of all of that. As soon as you finish a conversation it notifies you with the call details a file name for you to save, replay or upload to another site. I highly recommend this program for anyone doing interviews, wanting to capture the voices of their loved ones to play back later, or parents that are curious what their kids are conversating about.
